Is Smoking Allowed on a Cruise Vacation?

Almost all ships have both smoking and non-smoking sections in the public rooms and on deck. Most dining rooms are now totally smoke-free, but you can still smoke in most staterooms.  All on-board casinos permit smoking.  Most cruise lines also allow you to smoke on your balcony, though a few prohibit this due to fire concerns.
